pecked feathers

I just returned from vacation, and according to my chicken watcher all was well, considering this was their first week in the coop(all 7 weeks old).

When I went to check on them this afternoon, I noticed 2 of them had some of their tail feathers gone,one was bleeding. I cleaned it and applied blu-kote. I am not sure who is causing the damage, but would like to know what else I should do.

They have plenty of room now, and are eating chick starter food.

what's the weather been like?
What size is their run? and area to roost?

Well, we are still determining the roosters. I think we may have one, (an EE). They are in a large coop, and have two roosting areas, two different levels. We don't have the run completed yet, and as I said this was the first week they spent out there.

The flock is 5 EE's, 5 Buff Orphingtons, and 4 Dominiques, 1 black cochin

What size is the area you have them kept?

10 feet by 10 feet?

The size of the run (if it's too small) will sometimes cause picking. They are bored.
You can also give them more protein.
What kind of feed do you have them on?
