Pecked in the eye (human)

My sweetest golden sexlink likes to cuddle/nap/preen on my bed up by my pillows. Sometimes she'll like to preen my hair and when she started to do that today I looked back and she pecked me in my left eye. I applied and ice pack for over 30 minutes and waited for the major pain to stop until I opened it to check it out in the mirror. There is no actual sign of injury but over 6hours later my eye is still hurting. I took some Advil (a few minutes ago) so I'm hoping that will help wth the pain.

I'm not too worried about infection because her beak was clean when she pecked me and my eye watered non stop for about an hour flushing out any debri.

I know this isn't the most common injury but I'm hoping someone out there can shed some advice on how long this will hurt. I figured it would stop by now. My vision is still alittle blurry but better than it was when the peck first happened. I'd appreciate any advice on how to treat this. Thanks BYC

.....personally I'd go to the doctor and have it checked out, your sight is nothing to mess around with and your eyes are a major gateway to the body for infection, as clean as you think your birds beak might be.
