Hello- First, love this form, it is really hard to find info on Ducks in general.

I have a 3 year old Female Peckin Duck named Tina. Tina's right leg was broken (how??) vet thinks the our Drake Indian runner Penny, who is in love with her, contributed to the issue. Since then, the leg has healed with a slight gimp. Tina is removed from the other two ducks by a screen, so Penny can not get to aggression with his attention. She was doing really well- walking, swimming, eating etc.

3 mos ago Tina acted like she re-injured her leg again (same one). This time she can stand up on both feet when her butt is up against the fence with her chest on the ground. She can only walk backwards and uses her beak/wings sometimes to balance. She can no longer eat in this position unless we hold her chest up for her. She loves to swim- starts with her tail down, then after 20min her tail is up. Four times a day we rotate between- food, swim, drying off, rest in straw nest- repeat.

We feed her a dried duck crumble with added meal worms, oats, sunflower seeds, raisins along with thawed frozen peas and corn floating in water.

I welcome any input that we can do to help her.
