I am just curious, why do already hatched chicks attack chicks trying to come out of their shells? At first I was like aaawww they are helping it. Then I quickly realized um no they are pecking it and trying to eat the stuff in the egg. (Totally gross btw). The first one to hatch I named Gemini and that one is the lil ring leader... And I cannot open the incubator because of all the pipped eggs inside. 12 out of 27 have hatched so far. All 12 are still in there because of the pipped eggs. What can I do about getting them out?

Newly hatched chicks peck at everything. I would quickly remove the hatched chicks and close the incubator back up. Generally humidity levels will remain at satisfactory levels unless you happen to be in a low humidity area.

I was thinking of doin that since the humidity levels are up to 86%. But I t just worries me. I don’t want to harm the pipped eggs.

I had three chicks hatch back to back which is why it spiked. That high
