Hi
I am new to this quail thing having only got my girls this week, one of them seems to like pecking at the other one's eyes and I'm worried the others will get injured, what should I do?

Would agree with nabiki it’s sad but it is part of caring for the others
If you really don’t want to cull you can try and find someone else to take it but it may still be a bully and need to be culled

I had/have several females which are over dominat (also one roo till now)
In my experience this do not stop.

Of course they need to establish their pecking order. Just because of a little trouble you don't need to cull a bird.
You'll see injuries very fast with an over dominat bird.

Just had this again resently with a hen, I isolated for about 2 weeks and tried to re-integrate her, ending with a black eye of the roo (within a day)

She is again in solitary confinement, till my next butchering batch in about 4 weeks, along with the surplus roos from last hatch.

Unfortunately she's a beauty, but agressive birds will tear your flock apart, not only physicly, but also socially 😔

To quote Mr. Spock: “Logic clearly dictates that the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few.” :old
