Some of our hens have the back of their necks that the feathers have been pecked clean. Does anyone know of anything that we can put on them to discourage the others from pecking. I thought that I heard of Vasoline? How about the spray we use on the dogs to keep them from licking an area?

do you have rooster? thats what they do when it comes to mating. theres nothing you can do about it , or seperate them until their feathers grows back

Chickens dont like mustard, spread a little on the neck hopefully they will stop. You need to seperate the one thats pecking the worst before they draw blood.
