Take close ups. Sometimes when you zoom in on a photograph you can see way more than with the naked eyes.

What are you temperatures during the day and at night? Heat lamps can be very dangerous, but I do understand that some use them when the temps are around zero. Red lamps are less likely to cause a disturbance, but those are usally the 250 watt ones and very hot. Premier1 sells a 125 watt one I believe.

The day terms are around the teens to 20s and negatives at night
