You said out to the coop at a week? Is it warm where u live? It’s cold here and I am usually more than ready to put them out in the smaller coop by 4 weeksI just integrated a broody and her four 2wo chicks in with the flock by taking down the wire wall that separated them during setting/hatching. The mama gets in more fights than the chicks, but the chicks have places to 'hide'. Things calm down after a day or so. I also integrate my incubator hatched chicks young, out to the coop by 1wk, then integration begins at 4wks.
