This is one of my little girls that is being treated for respiratory and cocci. She is easily the smallest of the group of 7. I noticed the missing feathers when I brought her home about 3-4 weeks ago, but thought they would have started growing back by now. I haven't noticed anyone picking on her. She is one that still has some clear snot. They have been on CORID beginning the 3rd day today. SMZ for 10 days with about a 4 day break and then started again 3 days ago when I noticed some symptoms returning. I'm wondering if the missing feathers can be a symptom of anything else. Or even if they aren't allowing her access to the medicated water? I took a pic of the coop set-up. And yes I know they big birds have been exposed. At this point it's been almost a month and no one else is showing symptoms. This batch is really giving me a run for my money. I will never again by older than 1 week old birds!

Looks like feather picking to me.

Are all 7 confined to the coop space you have pictured?
If you feel that she is not getting enough of the medicated water, then you might want to separate her or take her out several times a day and encourage her to drink and eat.

Do you see any lice/mites on her? They are usually found under the vent and wings.

Is she being kept with those older chickens?
The chickens around the coop are in the big coop, separate from them. She is being kept with the chickens that are in that coop if you can see them. They are not supposed to be older. She's just that much smaller.
I'l do a closer inspection for mites/lice.

Yes, they are. I was hoping to incorporate them with the big girls within the next week and a half, but I don't think she will be able to go.

Any ideas on how to isolate her without buying another coop? Also, how long will she need to be? Until all feathers grow back, how long will that take? I'll try to get a pic with her sibling so you can see just how much smaller she is.

Okay, so I inspected her really well and can't find any trace of live/mites. However she is skin and bones! I think I may need to isolate her. I see her eat and drink though and I check on them a lot.
Any advice on how to isolate her and keep her outside. My husband will not go for more chicks in the garage! Do you think I can put her in with the tiny babies ( almost 1 week) after she's completed antibiotics?
She's the short one in the middle. Her sister is to the far left, but they are all the same age. Could this be pecking order or more?

Puting her inside in a cool dark environment would be much better than being outside.I would keep her by herself.Putting her in with the chicks will probably be stressful to her.Its possible she is getting bullied from the food and water.

That is what my bird looked like when there were predators getting in the coop.at night, I am not saying it is, it could just be that she is getting picked on by the bigger birds. Is your coop secured from any predators?
