Hi, I have 3 Silkies and the last one introduced to the run is "ruling the roost" so to speak. She pecks the other 2. In particular, she pecks my favorite one. This has caused her to go and nest and she stays there all day. I tried scolding her for pecking the other one. (I literally hear her screeching to get away and she'll run circles in the run to stay away from the "pecking chicken.") Will she eventually stop doing this behavior. Should I keep scolding her? It has helped a little bit.

That should calm down in about a week or so, but the newest one will probably be at the top of the pecking order. If your favorite little silkie is on the nest alot, she could be broody.....

it'll eventually stop.
the screechin is more of a "noise" thing. its more so how they communicate. "Ok, Ok, I get you, You rule!"
the nesting Very well COULD be that she is going broody. silkies are ALWAYS broody, and always nesting.
if it gets to the point where the lead one if REALLY pulling the crest out, or drawing blood, than i would find a way to seperate them so they can still see eachother and "talk" but if its just noisy, and they are just screeching, than thats all normal. its just how animals show eachother whos boss. as Chicmom said, it should calm down in a week or so.
Good Luck =)
