Pecking Order Squabbles – Is it supposed to be happening?

Our chicks are now four weeks old, and...they aren't fighting at all. Are they supposed to be figuring out the pecking order by now? I remember when they were a little younger, a couple of the chicks would run at each other with their heads up, but I don't think they've done that for a while.


When did your chicks start sorting themselves out?

Sounds to me like you have some really well behaved chicks, or they are all dying!!

My little roosters are doing that little neck feathers up thing and jumping at eachother.... The terrible teens.

Actually, they're five weeks.

What was I thinking?

I certainly hope they're not dying!!!

That would be very unfortunate indeed.
