Pecky visits Santa!

I received an email from our local shelter that we could take our pet to visit Santa, and they didn't specify what kind of pet! I bought a harness that came with a diaper and the yellow bag for transportation, and we got great photos with Mrs. and Mr. Claus. Mrs. Claus owned chickens before and was ecstatic to hold our well-behaved Pecky. Also our dog Finn who was much too anxious to sit on Santa's lap.

Love it; getting Pecky and Finn to cooperate with the photographer at the same time is great! That photo would make a cool holiday card.

Some years ago, in a similar situation, I took one of my miniature goats to get his photo taken with Santa. Mr. Claus foolishly decided to hold Gordie while sitting in a chair.

I doubt Santa ever forgot the discomfort of "the prancing and pawing of each little hoof" in his lap. Some of Santa's expressions were less than jolly.
