Peeling beak??

Norbert has what looks like a small cut on his beak and some of it peeling away under his eye...I assume he's may e caught his beak on the galvanised mesh of his run for the cut but is the peeling normal and is there anything I should be doing?

It will be fine. He scraped it against something but at least it’s small.

Great, didn't want it getting infected and wondered if I should cover it with a bit of petroleum jelly or suchlike.

That'd get washed off right after you put it on, the wound is very minor, you can leave it.
