Peep and Chicken Massacre**update raccoons!*

I have 2 older dogs that I trust with my birds but wouldnt trust a young one around them pups are too excitable...I reared the chicks in the house for the first 2 months and had my dogs bond with them by holding the chicks down to their level every day so the dogs could sniff and get used to them & telling them to be nice...
 
I am so sorry. I am here to say, unfortunately that , Yes< a dog will pull the heads off of birds and leave them strewn about. My father had that happen with some of his flock and witnessed the offending dog doing the deed so there was no doubt of the culprit.
 
Well if it was our pup or kitten they have learned their lesson they won't come close to the pen and if they do out comes the yelling and water hose. Now actually none of the dogs come down there with me, I think because they our witnessing our training program.
