Hello! I am a newby here and absolutely enjoy it so far. I have had chickens for years in various breeds, but in researching extensively for my daughter to have a bird for 4H this year (she is only 5), we settled on a golden SeBright. Upon looking for them, I stumbled on a local breeder who happened to have Salmon Faverolles. We bought some chicks for fun, and I absolutely LOVE them
Unfortunately a raccoon took one of my hens last weekend and my 2 seBright chicks
. So of course they HAD to be replaced (my husband thinks I am nuts and so does my family). So I now have an adult pair of Golden SeBrights (looking for another hen), 3 bantam Faverolles, 2 ~ 14 week old Standard Fav's, and 5 ~ 3 week old standard Fav's. these are going to be added to my flock of 8 assorted layers. This fall when my fav's start laying, the standards are going to hit Craigslist or I think my husband is going to blow a cork!
