Hello BYC! Im Erin, new to the group and ready to learn!
(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
Yes Im new to them as an adult, we had them as kids growing up but theses are my first Chicks! I got my chicks today!!
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
7 lil peepers
(3) What breeds do you have?
good question! I know I have a Silky Bantam, Buff Orpington, Mottled Java, and then I think I have Plym Barred Rock, Ameraucana, Barnvelders, & Partridge Rock. At least thats what the feed store said! lol
(4) How did you find out about BackYardChickens.com?
Google, and then I was chatting via email with some chicken peeps who said join us. Like a good Sheep I followed!
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Gardening, Orchids, Crafty stuff and a facebook Junkie.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
Single mom to 3 Skin Kids, Blake age 10 1/2, Kiera almost 9, & Breyen 1 1/2. We have a Boxer dog Prada, 2 lep Geckos, 2 hermit crabs, a Uri Mastic (lizard), a Turtle, a bunch of Convicts in our fish tank, and now 7 lil Chickens! We are *just* out side of Phillie in the township of Cheltenham, PA.
I was a dog trainer & walker in the past, currently in between jobs.
