:(One of my peeps hatched Sat. night. It appeared to not be doing real well. It was kind of sticky. I proceeded to gently rinse and than returned to incubator to keep warm. It seems to be having trouble walking, peeping a lot. I left it in the incubator for several hours. I placed it in the brooder seemed to be getting better, but I don't know if it is going to survive. Any suggestions?

Still with us I have it in a warm brooder with two other peeps that hatched Thur. and Fri. They seem like they are trying to comfort it. It can stand and tries to walk but is very unsteady. I will go get the vitamins. Thank you for your suggestion. Will keep you posted later this evening :barnie

Just don't put the drops down the center of it's throat or it may aspirate/inhale them into the lungs.... instead apply as far to the side of the inside of the mouth as possible without using too much pressure at it can damage the beak.

Thank you for the pointer. I did get him to drink a little water by just dipping his beak

NDgoatgirlNV mentions liquid vitamin b complex, the baby vitamin PolyViSol without iron, 3 drops 3x day on the side of the beak is what I use. Some boiled egg yolk mixed with it's feed (moist) helps. Sounds like it maybe Riboflavin deficiency....think brewers yeast was also mentioned in past threads.
