That's our friends' rate. To our local roadside farmstands we sell them for $14 each...

We have more demand than supply- they only lay during Feb. and Mar. at about 40 eggs per female, per season. We've only successfully hatched out three chicks- and sold two for $500 each.

Well, we don't have a large enough incubator, so we do it the old fashioned way:
Under Dad.

And, boy, is it hard to get the little runners away from him when the time comes!
Did ya know that an emu can kill you with one kick?
