Do y'all have bunks or somehing? :P
I have chicks in my room underneath my bed in a box- don't ask.... :hide

Lol yes on Saturday we took them apart and put them side by side. Cool! I haven't thought of doing that ... Hey CC... Ash had an amazing idea :D Ducklings up under the bed :hide

Cool! :D
This wasn't intended-
Mistake #1: So we were gone all day.
Mistake #2: I left Hannah with her chicks in the actual nesting box where they hatched yesterday.
I get home at 9 PM- walk into the chicken coop to find a chick on the floor, two feet below the nesting box with its mother and siblings. It was completely still and on its back- most likely killed by the fall and 38°F temp.
But, no, apparently the chick plans to defy the percentage- I picked it up and went to take it away when it opened its eyes and let out this faint peep. I rush over to the heat lamp that luckily I still have yet to take down from the winter, turn it on, and pop my hand & chick right under it. 45 minutes later- chick is standing and protesting for Mama. :yesss:
That's exactly how 3 chicks and a 13-lb-hen ended up in a cardboard box beneath my bed.

Meet Hannah. Chicks are under her wings. Looks quite irritated at being woken up, doesn't she? :P

In my moms defense, she almost never lets animals in the house, let alone bedrooms, and they were just barely starting to smell.

Yeah! My Mom don't like any animals in the house. We have 2 dogs inside and two cats that are outside, but they sometimes come inside. That will probably all change when we move though. We are only going to have 1 animal inside, really that only leaves one pet outside, because we have two, "of those pets," and that one animal would be a cat. It's a long story!

P.S
We might keep one of the dogs inside, but I don't know! :idunno
