Hmm, I didn't lower temp with my ducks and hatched 100% but you should do what works for you, for sure. But yeah, if I heard peeps I would up humidity and not turn anymore. Best of luck.

No, the turning down the temp at lockdown....never heard of that.I'll try to find the documentation for you.
(do you mean the metabolism thing?)
The chart on page 4 of the following pdf lists the incubator temp and hatcher temp for each species. Notice, that there is about a 1F lowering when transferring to hatcher.
I think the reasoning is that clears are pulled when moved to the hatcher.
Near the end of incubation, the eggs give off heat. If there are clears scattered in a setting tray, that heat is absorbed by the clears. But trays without clears in a hatcher will be generating a significant amount of heat.

Like I said earlier I didn't adjust the temp any. I didn't move mine to anywhere else either, though. I just raised the humidity and all of them hatched over a 2 day period.
Am guessing it might be more important in a big cabinet incubator,I think the reasoning is that clears are pulled when moved to the hatcher.

I would leave it where it is.Should I lower my temp then? Everyone gives different advice so i’m unsure!
The 2 eggs I posted earlier have pipped and began to zip, the other 3 haven’t done anything yet. It’s day 26/28 currently, hatch day is Friday.
Exactly.Am guessing it might be more important in a big cabinet incubator,
smaller bator thermostat should be able to adjust I would think.
