peeping eggs

Is it a better idea to put incubator eggs under a broody hen when they start peeping in the egg or after they hatch on day 2? My broody hen that they originally came from gave up about a week ago and one of my buffs has been sitting there ever since. So also does it matter how long they have been sitting for? My eggs are at day 16 in the incubator?

Will u be taking the eggs that the buff hen is sitting on out from under her and discarding them? If not then I would say just keep the eggs in the incubator bc if she is sitting on eggs that would hatch at a different time she may not take care of the chicks that hatch first bc she will still be waiting on the others to hatch....

I was gonna swap them into the incubator because half of them are infertile that she's sitting on..
