I'm not a "hater". FYI, I loved the Anne Rice series - minus "Queen of the darn"(seriously, that book took FOREVER to read. BORING!), Stephen King had some awesome vampires. Mr Stoker? Honestly he had a kick ass vampire. Even the Wesley Snipes Blade series was GOOD.

Heck, I'm all for a GOOD vampire story. I just don't get the glittery "love" story they are trying to shove at us...well actually I guess they are trying to shove it at 15 year old girls. Which, I guess, is why I'm puzzled by all these seemingly "adult" women who are sooooooo gaga over the series.

Plus, couldn't they have found a more attractive couple for the lead? Or is it because all the big name, quasi good looking actors wouldn't have touched that movie with a ten foot pole? Things that make you go "hmmmm".

I like the series.. but not enough to go gaga and feint over every thing that happens to Robert Patinson(sp?) I've tried re-reading the second book since the next movie is about to come out, but I can't bring myself to it. I guess my brain thinks reading it once was enough LOL

I don't get it either. Personally, I don't find that dude attractive at all. I don't think that girl is pretty, either. In fact, I find her rather manish.

LOL manish.. I know what you mean. She doesn't seem all that feminine or when she tries to be "emotional", it doesn't look right.
