Hello, i have a nine mos. old pekin drake who is limping. i have not seen anything wrong with his foot, as i wondered if he had bumblefoot. i don't know what to do. he tries to keep with the other ducks, for he believes he is the bigshot dominant male. i feel really bad for him. thanks.

Could have sprained his leg. Best thing would be to examine to check for heat, swelling, redness. Did you check under his foot for bumble? I’d place him where everyone can see each other but where he has limited mobility so he can heal if Sprain. Some Liquid B complex can help support legs 1 ml over a tasty treat. And if you notice anything when examine post pictures.

I haven't seen any bumble foot. i have checked. the leg doesnt seem much warmer than the other one. i will try to find that liquid b complex

If you go to TSC you can get Durvet Liquid B complex it is more potent and made for animals.

how do i give it to the ducks? sprinkle a little over food?

To make sure the one having the problem gets full dose I’d put it over a favorite treat, just enough treat that he gobbles it all up. If you want to give some good niacin to any that aren’t showing problems use Nutritional yeast sprinkled over their feed 1 Tablespoon to each cup of feed. And the one needing the liquid b complex can eat this also. You can also give orally but you have to be very careful when giving anything by mouth. If you decide to give orally we have info on how to do that. Just let us know.
