Hi,

I've got a 7 month old pekin who is has been laying every day for over a month now. Really healthy eggs, good size shape and shell. I've noticed that her normally bright orange beak is going pale, almost white at the end? I don't know if there is something she's not getting food wise. Does anyone know what this is? My other duck (Indian Runner Drake) is fine,

Thanks

P.s I feed her layer pelets, she has access to grit and I give them some mixed corn when the weather dips below freezing for a bit of added insulation. They are free range in my garden, and eat a lot of grass and plants.

Might be an indictor of amount of eggs layed. The yellow pigment in the skin is also used by the yolk, like in chickens with yellow legs. so every time she lays she is using up some of the pigment, It could also be bleaching from the sun.
