Hi!

I have a pekin who has bumblefoot and almost two weeks ago I went cleaned, removed it, and wrapped it. We isolated her for about a week and a half, then allowed her to clean off in a kid pool that had clean water only it before wrapping it and putting her back. Today she went out for the first time. The swelling has gone done a lot and new good skin has appeared. However, it is still warm to touch. She has been kind of sleeping around the pond when she normally plays but she still eats and drinks and lays everyday. Should I just keep doing what I’m doing or should I do something else? I attached pictures of progress. I forgot to take a picturelast night when I wrapped but I can updated tonight when I wrap it. What will make the warm touch go away??

Oh no! We're battling bumblefoot too. How do you wrap it so she doesn't remove the bandage?

How is your duck doing?

she is still alive, I got it to go down but the scab is still there. She had no symptoms, no redness up her leg. I honestly don’t even know if it bumble foot.I still think it is but there was never any hard corecenter I found

I place a small Guaz pad over it after washing with dawn soap and warm water, spray with vetercyn and add neo, and then your wrap the guaz with the bandage that’s flexible.

keep her in a dry area. I use a kid Pool instead of our pond to let her play since it’s clean water. If you want them to use the pond do the guaz and then order water proof duck shoes

Could you post an updated photo, of the core?

I will when I am home! I’m actually out of state for graduate school. They live at my parents place. But I’ll post updates probably within the next month or so since I go home for the holidays!

this was her about 4 weeks ago when I was home! Hanging with my Muscovy mix female and my two boy Pekins. She’s in the front eating as always 😂
