EMERGENCY!!! DOG BITE WOUND TO CHICKEN

Hey @coach723 @Eggcessive and @BigBlueHen53 ! I wanted to inform you that my chicken suddenly has bruises on her side and back. I don't know if this is a cause for concern or if there are any heightened risks. There also seems to be dead tissue on her back aswell and I don't know what to do about that. Thanks!

Hey @coach723 @Eggcessive and @BigBlueHen53 ! I just wanted to update on her condition. The flap of skin on her back is mostly reconnected except for the front part. and some spots on her back are looking black in some places. Is that a cause for concern? I also felt her crop tonight- it only felt like water was in there and was small. Usually, it will be packed tightly with feed and be noticeably bulging out about this time of day. She has been eating about a half a quart of feed a day. Thanks for all of your help and support!

My dogs were desensitized 6 months before I trained them not to kill It didn't take a lot of time after they got used to them but I still kept the chickens contained for 2 years. Now they free range in the same fence
@McChooky I'm really curios. How did you train your dogs to not kill?

USE IODENE IMMEDIATELY. Bandage. Seperate from flock. She will do a good job herself but dog bites are dangerous 0 I had a chook worse than this and iodene and a good friend helped her heal
