Hi - I'm new to the duck forum and raising ducks so I hope my question is not a dumb one. Last year I purchased 4 Peking ducks to live in a pond on my property. Over the past year they have made a handful of nests but never sat on their eggs and most often drop eggs in the yard and even in the pond. About 4 weeks ago, I noticed that one had made a nest in our front bush and has been sitting non stop on the eggs. We were very excited thinking we would have some little ones soon. I have been checking off the days on the calendar counting to 28 days and they are supposed to hatch tomorrow. Well, today the duck has left the nest and this afternoon I noticed all the eggs except 1 are gone. This evening the last one is gone also. I'm not sure what happened to the eggs. Was there something wrong with them. Is this normal?
