I have 6 pekin ducks 3 are 5 weeks old and 3 are about 6 weeks old they are starting to quack . any way one of the 5 week olds can barely walk its left foot seems to be twisted and it is walking on itshock and the side of its foot. it is also alot smaller than the others. I touched its join at its knee and it started to chirp like crazy like it hurt it. but it also will not move its foot at that joint at all. would it be best to cull it.it eats and drinks fine but will not swim unless put in the pool or another duck pushes it in the pool. I found it in the pool a little while ago looked like it was froze half to death and it can not get out on its own. we pick it up by putting our hand or something else under it butt and letting it scoot out that way it thinks it is doing it on its own. it is so sad any advice would be greatly appreciated thank you

If the leg is broken or infected, you may be able to save the bird. If the leg is swollen and is hot to the touch, it may be infected and can be treated with antibiotics. If not, see if you can tell if it's broken. You can try splinting it with something to keep it still.
