Our male pekin is a year old. He is not doing well. His bottom is constantly flexing, and he seems to not be able to speak (quack). I'm thinking a blockage? The only vet in our area seems to have almost no knowledge about waterfowl. He has drank a little over the last few day's but he looks horrible, feathers all ruffled, and just uncomfortable. Any advice, ideas, please let us know, thanks!!

I'm not sure other than vet care but like you said not many know water fowl, but I did find this and maybe it will give you some ideas on how to help. http://kingofdoodles.blogspot.com/2011/06/signs-of-intestinal-blockage-in-pet.html

Still the same. Unfortunately he's losing weight. Thanks for the link. Even if we had a vet with waterfowl knowledge, surgery would be wonderful, but very costly! Doing our best to keep Asia comfortable.

If he's eating small amounts of feed try mixing some olive oil or coconut oil into it this may lube up the system enough to get things going. also making the small amount of feed very moist may help too. Poor guy I hope he pulls through.

Thanks, we've been using mineral oil 2xs a day. Were praying for Asia. He also became a father to two beautiful ducklings a wk and half ago.
