I have 5 Pekin Ducks that are around 7 weeks old. For awhile one of them has had a little limp but she’s been fine. Then about 3 days ago her legs started getting worse and now today she can hardly walk. I’ve made sure to add niacin to their food and b complex to their water. I also checked her legs and nothing seems to be visibly wrong. I have no clue what to do for her at this point. Her stomach is also pretty much bald. If just has the spines of her feathers. This might be from her laying down in the wet all the time because she can’t stand. Does anyone have any ideas of what’s wrong or what I can do?

More about your setup would be helpful. What are you feeding? How does the bottom of their feet look? Does it feel hot at all? What kind of bedding are you using? Are you providing bathing water? Could you post a picture or video of her so we can get a better idea of whats going on?

Thank you guys for responding. Ive attached a picture of their house which they’re only in at night. During the day they’re free range in my yard which has a large pond. When I went to take a picture of her feet, I realized that her legs are very swollen. She doesn’t have any scabs on her feet. I also attached a picture of the food and vitamins.

Here are the pictures of her feet/leg. Also, she weighs like 6.6 pounds. (The zip tie is not at all tight on her ankle, it just looks like that in the pictures).

Okay Layena is for laying birds your ducks are too young for it they need to be on an all flock or duck feed. Too much calcium in layena it’s for helping layers have strong egg shells . How much BComplex are giving her that strength needs to be 3 ml a day over a tasty treat like mealworms or something else she will scarf down to get full dose.

I just started trying to give her the b complex yesterday. She wouldn’t really take any but today I just mixed some in a water dish so she would drink some. I will try to mix the 3ml in a snack so I can make sure she gets it. I can switch them to flock raiser on Wednesday or Thursday. Would flock raiser be good for them?

Where are you located? Do you have a tractor supply near by? If you only have ducks you can get some Purina Duck Pellets for them. That food has everything they need from hatch on. Once she starts laying provide oyster shells on the side.

I'd pick up some of this B-complex which is super strength. She would only need 1ml over tomatoes or mealworms. I would discourage putting it in water because it gets too diluted plus the ducks spill more than they drink so it just gets wasted.

Thank you guys for the advice on the food. I’ll try my best to get duck feed but if not I’ll get flock raiser on Wednesday. The duck, Poe, is not standing up much anymore and I moved her into a box in the garage to monitor her. Her feathers are all messy and her stomach is bald. I included pictures.
