I have a young Pekin duck that layed her first three eggs(I think), but then no more. I have waited ten days and she still has not given me another egg. I have chickens that lay and I am assuming that the three eggs I found were actually duck eggs not chicken. This is my first time with any birds, the three assumed duck eggs almost looked plastic, had a waxy feel to them, and were only a little bigger than the chicken eggs, but I figured first eggs were always a bit goofy. So my question is do Pekin Duck eggs look plastic and have a waxy texture? Also, is a ten day gap in a new Duck layer normal or is there a possible health issue? Thank you so much!

Ducks don't usually lay continuously. It does sound like they were duck eggs. All the ducks I've ever had, laid a few up, or as many as a clutch worth, and than quit for weeks.
