I had four Pekin Ducks at one point but a raccoon got three of them. Our last one we decided to integrate with our chickens which has a much more secure pen. The chickens love her! Sadly we have gotten an unexpected cold snap and one of our chickens contracted pneumonia. We have removed the infected chicken and am trying to nurse her back but now the sickness is spreading around the coop. I noticed Reba (our last duck) is breathing with her mouth open which is a bad sign. We have treated the whole coop with Tetracycline in their water and until the cold snap wears away we put in a heat lamp. The cold snap should be over today or tomorrow at the latest so the heat lamp wont be needed but I cant stand the thought of losing another duck. Is there anything else besides the Tetracycline I can do to get rid of her symptoms of having pneumonia? The whole coop has been exposed so I don't see what moving her all by herself will do? That would just stress Reba out. Please help.
