my Pekin duck keeps getting bits of hay/straw stuck up her nose and its bleeding,is there anything i can do.

Id stop using straw, i made the switch back to shavings, and I couldn’t be happier, i wanted hay and straw to work but it didnt. Was nasty, wet, and moldy. Shavings smell better and work better.
