Pekin Duck

Hi Guys,

Well i am from Fiji and we just recently started breeding pekin duck here, i managed to get a pair from a friend on mine. It was today that my pekin laid for the 1st time she laid 3 eggs today 2 good ones with hard shell whilst the 3rd egg is soft without any shells......is this normal for her......plus she has not made a nest yet she laid all 3 eggs at separate locations. i hv had experience with muscovy duck b4 but they always make a nest mostly on the ground itself but for her i am a little confused......please advise......

I'm sorry I know very little about ducks. If you go to the "Other Backyard Poultry," section in the Forum above, there is a side tab where you will find threads concerning ducks. I think that would be the best place to post your questions.
