Does anyone know how old they are when you buy them from TSC? Or how to tell their age?

I got them march 2nd

Today march 13th

Yours look like you got them pretty young. Mine look like your current pics, but I just got them on the 6th...So mine were probably a couple weeks old or so when I got them...Mine are almost totally white now...just starting to get some feathers though. Or at least 2 of them are...the other 2 were way smaller when we got them, so I am assuming they are different ages. 3 now are pretty close in size, but only 2 of them are turning white, while the other is still yellow, but big. One is smaller, and still totally yellow. What I want to know is what TSC does with the chicks that grow up while they have them...The southern states closest to us is having a hard time keeping their chicks separate as they are not large enough to hop from bin to bin...It's pretty funny. They threw some deer netting over the whole thing so the chicks couldn't escape into the store...Lol. But it got me wondering what they do with the chicks when they start to get too old to be stuck in little boxes in the store...do they have a half grown chick super sale?

Interesting question. In my country feed stores do not sell infant poultry (or any poultry at all) so I am curious about this institution and wondering what they do with "leftovers" they could not sell...

@ Ashleyvp918 : I would say your ducklings are about three weeks old. Feathers should start to grow soon. If feathers are already showing, they are between three and four weeks old.

TSC gets them in at 1-2 days, just like we would if we got them shipped to us. Yours look like they were about 1 week old when you got them so 2-3 weeks now.

I've also heard of people getting ducklings for $0.25 at TSC after they've been there for a bit. My local TSCs, 1 doesn't sell ducklings and the other can't keep them in stock. I don't think that TSC has to worry about any that don't sell. I'm planning on going back to mine to see if the cornish cross chicks they had 2 weeks ago (and were about a week old) are still there. Cheaper to not have to have fed them for an extra 3 weeks.

Ive gotten ducklings each of the last three years at TSC. I live in the Pittsburgh area, and they definitely seem to be in demand. They usually only get mallards in as far as ducklings go, but this year one store in my area got swedish blues in, while another had khaki's and pekins. i snatched up a couple of each to build up my flock. theyre usually less than a week old when at the store. When they first get them in, they're only a day or two old. they rarely last longer than a week in terms of availability too. ive had great luck with ducklings bought at that store honestly. although the employees seem to know very little about ducks themselves...

I just got my first ever ducklings at TSC this past Sunday. However, as I was told by the guy working that he didn't know what kind of duck they were because whoever unloaded them and put them in the tubs, never put a tag on them. They are the cutest little yellow fluffs. On Thursday (4 days later we stopped in again) and all of the little yellow ones were gone and they had a tub full of Mallard ducklings. Of coarse we left with 4 of them LOL. Does anyone know what the yellow ones might be? They have almost doubled in size since Sunday. We have also accumulated 14 chicks in those 2 visits

and congrats on all those babies! do they look anything like the original posters? Pekin is a massively popular duck. Otherwise can they at least give you a list of what breeds they do bring in, that'll help narrow it down, well somewhat lol
