Pekin ducklings with red rash under neck, along the spine and on wings

hello! I have Pekin ducklings who are 2 weeks old today. I’ve recently been looking at them and they are going red too. They look just like yours. Now I’m scared too, these ducklings are so special to me. im wondering if maybe the hay I have in their brooder might get their skin rash. Otherwise I am not so sure. I have given them baths, but they do not seem to like it very much. maybe they are a bit dirty? I feed them chick starter and some fresh water. They eat and drink fine. maybe they are growing adult feathers, but I don’t know. I’m really worried about them. They also get really scared when they see humans, which is strange because before they got the rash whenever they saw me they would jump on me and lay on me. Now they are scared, as if they want me to make them better - but I don’t know what the matter is. Help is really really really appreciated. I’m scared for their lives!

I don't see anything terrible. They might just be growing new feathers and losing their down a bit. They grow so fast! I'm sure someone else will have an opinion but I just don't see anything weird.

Them being scared of humans is totally normal. One day they love you and sit in your lap and the next day you're suddenly an ax murderer coming to get them.

thank you for your help! It has already put a big weight off my shoulder! Yes you probaly are right, they might be losing their baby fur since they’re 2 weeks.

hi again, these ducks are going well. But I saw this morning that one of them did a bit of a red poo, I cant tell whether it’s blood or not but I think it is. I’m asking google what it means and it says its a disease. Is there anything else it could be, I don’t want my poor babies sick. Help is appreciated xx

Hi, Could you post a picture, blood in the stool could just be intestinal lining shedding or Coccidiosis.
