Pekin Ducks - Hoffman Hatchery

Can anyone tell me about the quality of these ducks compared to those from Metzer or McMurray(which I think may also come from Metzer). I only want them for meat and perhaps to keep some breeders. The price for 25 is really great and shipping isn't much since they are located in my state. I was just wondering if these are good quality meat birds ,especially if I intend to keep breeders from their stock.

If you are not looking for show birds then the best deal for meat is the least expensive ones. Pekins are one of the most popular ducks for meat. You should be fine with the hatechry that is closest to you.

Thanks for the encouragement. My only concern was if they are sickly, weak or overly inbred then they wouldn't reach a good weight by processing time.
