I have a Male & female Pekin Duck that need a home together. They have been with me since after last Easter when they were dumped at the vet clinic I worked at. They just turned one and the female has laid a huge egg everyday since September. I don't want money for them just a suitable place to live. They are out in the yard all day here and have a kiddie pool & small pond they love. Please contact me if interested.

What kind of housing do ducks require?? We have chickens and I have been wondering about ducks but an unsure of what they need as far as protection from predators and such.

They are free all day long and go into an enclosure at night. They also need a water source for swimming. They are a commitment. I rescued a duck from my job. Somebody did a dump off after Easter last year. They are really sweet but need a large area to live. Tracy

Similar to chickens. I will chat with the hubby. A kiddie pool is acceptable swimming material?? As far as enclosure what do they need? I assume they don't roost? We have an empty coop right now, but I don't think it would serve ducks very well.

Kiddie pool is fine. They do need to be in a seperate area from your chickens. Ducks are bullies!

we have a good place for 2 ducks. They can start a dynasty here.
Our phone number is 858 504 7876.
We are in the 4S area, south of Lake Hodges.

Mekeni12 - are you still looking for pekings? I have two girls and a boy I'm looking to rehome ASAP.

Yes, their job would be to eat snails in a fenced orchard.
We live west of Rancho Bernardo. 858 504 7876.
