Pekin experts- can a young Pekin fly?!!

It does look like a white mallard and, no, they aren't wild, but domestic. Mallards can fly as early as 8-9 weeks old. We had one briefly live at the lake near me and he was a sweetheart. He could fly as well as the wild mallards, though.

Since this is a fairly new thread i was wondering if anyone could help me i have 6 ducks i bought at the feed store (4 welsh harlequins, 1 white and fawn indian runner, and a pekin) they are very shy and wont let me get close to them i want to know what i can do to get them to like me also i originally i bought twelve and 6 died by predators so i dont know if that has anything to do with them being shy

Balwin, from my experience of ducks, they are probaly afraid that you're a predator. Try crouching down feed them snacks evry day, and get closer. They might one day eat from your hand.
