Pekin red on beak help??

He is 12 weeks old and was just put outside full time in his pen and coop a few days ago and now I'm. Noticing a pinkish red around where the beak and feathers meet what's wrong or what could it be???

Is he with a new flock? Sounds like pecking. Did you take time to introduce him? Is there a place for him to hide?

Don't take my word for it, but I think this is completely normal for orange-billed drakes. My two runner drakes are also pink/red in that area and have been for several months.

If you're worried, just continue to observe and if you notice it getting weirder or his behavior changing, that's when I'd start to worry.
