Pekin X Buff mix. Beautiful birds.

Here is a progression of our Pekin X Buff mix Dandy and Lil Bill:

I had a true pekin buff mix she had the golden color of the buff and beak and looks of pekin.

that isn't a Buff mixed with Pekin. it's a Blue swedish mix. the coloring and beak are blue swedish colors not buff
So the white on a pekin can be hiding any number of colors/genes. They frequently breed out bibbed babies. White is recessive (requiring 2 copies of the gene to express) so when one is mixed with a non white duck you get to see what coloration the white was actually covering up. It's quite possible that this is the result of a pekin over a buff.

The reverse of that pairing, with a buff drake over a non chocolate or buff gene carrying pekin female, would produce sex linked ducklings.

Edit: you have a good point about the bill color!
