Hello!
We have Peking duck and unfortunately one of her legs is injured. I’m not sure of the extent of the injury. It happened about 4 days ago and we have kept her isolated in a dog crate. At firs she wasn’t moving at all. The last two days she has been trying to move a lot more but it’s clear her leg is still hurt.

Yesterday she started pulling out her feathers and she has been laying small, soft eggs.

I am new to duck ownership, I got her from someone who couldn’t keep her so I’m not sure of her age.

I’m just not sure what to do and I would appreciate some advice to help her with pain and recovery!

I did call many vets and there’s only 1 in my area that would be able to see her but it’s $200 JUST for the visit.

I also called a wildlife rescue but they said once shes a farm duck and not a wild duck they can’t help her.

No, I can add that to her diet. Will it help her heal?
Pekins need extra niacin or they get leg problems, it's likely that's what's wrong
Mix 1 tbs of nutritional yeast in ever 1 cup of food, but she may need direct dose of b complex for awhile

It was definitely a physical injury due to a neighbors child unfortunately. But I will add the supplement, thank you.

That's the type of info we need. Feel up her leg for swellings or warm spots
