Hello! I am new to all this and have a question about hatching peking ducks. We are at day 24 and we hear peeping in some of the eggs--how long will it take for them to hatch? Also, some of the eggs have a gray splotch on them--turned from white to this big grey blob color--are the dead or dying? This is very stressfull--I hate to think I killed them--I am doing this in my basement so my daugthers can see the wonders of nature--I got the eggs from my sisters peking ducks--there were 38 and after candling we had 23 fertilized eggs.
    Thank you for any help!

Sorry I have never hatched duck eggs but there are lots of people who could help. Try posting on the incubating and hatching thread. [IMG]

Ducks usually hatch out on day 28. They can be a few days early or a few days late. If you are hearing peeping, watch for a pip. From the pip to total hatch out can take up to three days.
