Pekins and earthworms

Since earth worms *can* (doesn't mean do) harbor eggs of internal parasites to poultry.. I would suggest that you get a fecal float done a couple times a year to get familiar with what YOUR parasitic load looks like, if you haven't done so already.

My birds also enjoy earth worms a lot. My fecal floats come back negative so far and I have not had to treat for worms yet, despite a couple gals getting mud bum and folks SWEAR you have worms. Noting only tape worms and large round worms will ever be seen in droppings and all other species stay inside the guts passing only their microscopic oocysts (invisible eggs).

I also don't just worm regularly... why use poison I don't need or waste $ or withhold eggs if not needed. :)
