Pekins hatching eggs

I have a female Pekin that has started sitting on her eggs( which are in the bushes) she sits all day! I usually put them up at night but I’m wondering how long can she stay off the nest?

I don’t know much about ducks, but I think the hatching process is pretty much the same as chickens.

Chickens usually only get off the nest 10-20 minutes a day for food water and dust bathing.

Maybe try building the pekin a little nest box, easy. Search on YouTube just using a big container or wooden box!
Thus, she’ll be able to sleep there and keep her babies warm at all times.
Sorry if I’m wrong, but either way a nest box will be easier!

You won't be able to move her till the eggs hatch. Put up a temporary fence and shelter around her..

You’ll also want her safe from any other predators. Larger birds, or raccoons, or even dogs.
She may be hidden, but her smell is very well not!
Also to keep her babies safe!
