Pellet or Crumble?

Okay I'll tell you.

I love their chicken feed, it sounds strange but I swear the coop does not smell like it did when I was feeding the other brand to them.
The people that mill their own feed here told me that they supply the food to all the organic raisers that sell to Whole Foods.
I buy my layer feed and broiler feed there for the meatbirds in bulk and they let me mix and match my order so that I still get the bulk price.
Funny thing, my maiden name is Ventura and I was visiting my parents the other day and I say hey I shop at Ventura Grain, are they related to us and he says yup, and I laugh and he goes the one in Taunton right? I'm like yeah , yeah we're related.
Hmm, never thought to tell me about this place sooner.

I'll have to check it out, thanx for letting me in on the family secret!

I don't know about other places or the feed industry or why it matters.
Here I get the ton rate if I buy 1000lbs which is a 1/2 ton.
I get that rate by buying 50 or 100lb bags or by buying in bulk/loose.
I can mix and match the feed order whether I do it in bags or bulk.

Seriously, what are you talking about?
I re read my posts and so far where is it that I am misleading anyone.
I don't see where I infered anything but if you need an explanation I wrote that the bags are $6.00 cheaper than the brand I was buying and that I could also buy in bulk and not have to lug bags home.

Yes I am buying in bulk and not having to lug bags home, in fact I am splitting a bulk order today with some neighbors, I got 1000lbs.
Where is the confustion here? I was referring to bulk and that is what I got.

I can buy in bulk or volume.
For volume, which by the way I never brought up until you posted questioning me about it as I was referring to bulk in my previous post.
Volume rate:

I hope that clears things up for you.
As for anyone else in the country, if they are ordering a large amount of grain then I would hope that they would be smart enough to ask question, besides when you order they tell you anyway and ask questions like for delivery do you have a container for us to dump the grain in or where is the load going etc. for pick up its the same thing. You will figure it out quick.
Besides anyone who is buying grain in large amounts knows their way around a feed mill.

Crumbles. Very little waste and a 50lb bag lasts forever with my 8 girls. I hang the feeder about 6" off the ground. There is a ditch around the feeder now from the girls but there is very little feed there or in the area. I fill the feeder about once a week. They do free range during the day so that cuts down on the feed.
