Its a layer feed. Thanks for the help!It is all personal preference. Pellets usually mean less waste. That price is reasonable. Is this for chicks? is the 16% option a layer feed, or a starter/grower feed? You will want to think about the size of the pellets versus the size of your birds. Also the age of your birds versus the calcium content of the feed.
Are the chickens laying? Its a layer feed. Thanks for the help!
Well i have 19, 10 week old pullets with 3, 17 week old pullets (one is a sex link and about to start laying) so i mix 3/4 chick food and 1/4 layer feed. Are the chickens laying?
I dont know i looked up the prices and saw how expensive it was thanks for the suggestion i might just try a food higher in protein. The advice you will get from most people on here will be to stop mixing and just feed an All Flock or Flock Raiser feed that is low in calcium but high in protein. Most are 18 or 20%. Then have a separate dish of calcium for those who want/need it.
ok ill see if our hardware store has some next time im their@Danny188
Country feed makes an “all Flock” feed it is 18% protein. Don’t forget to add oyster shell in a separate container free choice.
