Pen and new set up

Here is a picture of my pen my modifications so far. I added a drip edge for roof over all exposed wood to stop rotting. They are getting use to the noise already. The pen is 8ft wide and has a separation in the middle. I have plastic corrugated on roof and wall. It's on side of a huge oak tree for shade in Louisiana humid summers but mild winters. I have 3 males and 17 hens so I just separated then so I have 1 roo and 5 hens together. Feel free to be honest about my set up because I want to do my best to raise them and teach my kids. I had my 16 yr old son actually build it with my guidance.

Solid work here man.... If you are out where you could see coons come visiting, Id think about a sliding bolt type door latch. The little devils are very smart. Had one as a pet in my youth,... To get to something they want to eat, they are a force nature! Nice pen

I live in the city luckily and in 18 yrs no coons but squirrels. My two small dogs run them off pretty quick and no cats around so they should be pretty safe.
