Quick question if my pen(not coop) total square ft. is 432, is that enough for 28 hens?

Hello :frow and Welcome To BYC! There is a really nice article in the Learning Center on figuring out how much space you need for the flock you want https://www.backyardchickens.com/a/how-much-room-do-chickens-need The generally recommended ratio is 4 sq/f inside(coop) and 10 outside(run) per standard bird, so with 432 sq/f of run you should have plenty of room for 28 hens.

I'm glad you joined our community.

That sounds like plenty of room to me.

Your hens should be very happy!

Welcome to BYC. Glad you decided join to our flock. Based on the 10 sq. ft. per bird rule for the run, you could keep up to 43 hens (although I wouldn't personally recommend that many in your run), so your 28 hens should be no problem. Be sure that your coop has a floor area of at least 112 sq. ft. (4 sq. ft. per bird). Please feel free to ask any other questions you may have. We are here to help in any way we can. Good luck with your flock.
