Pendant makers?

Does anyone here make pendants? I'm slowly collecting metal bottle caps so that I can make some

I'm having a hard time gathering them, but I hopefully one day will have enough, so that I don't have to waste epoxy. Any ideas for something else I could make them out of, that might be easier to find?

Next time I go to the art store I think I just might pick up some to try it out.
